Lucas may have initially gone down this path with an ulterior motive, slightly... encouraged by a comment Ros had made about prostituting oneself for ones job, but really, now, all that was forgotten, and would be for some time. She may have been the best contact at the clinic, but now, she was purely the woman who wanted to be with him.
It seemed that nearly six months stuck in a mystical village, with all kinds of intriguing people around (and Martha certainly fell into that catagory - how many civilians recognised his tattoos for what they were, and more to the point never asked why?) had given him the chance to slowly start to heal from the deep wounds Russia had left, certainly move on from certain parts of his life.
Her touch was intoxicating as he continued to tease her, and he might have been smiling slightly through their kiss.
